what else could be so
quiet. lying
prone beneath green leaves

orange shirt man
totters and keens
eyes gorging: new leaves!

man eats honey bun.
twist of radio knob.
Stairway to Heaven!

mist dissipates,
squandered wraiths
of morning, of faith

shaggy  puppy
new grass run
carolina red clay
