bed and bar
rhododendron head
kudzu heart

gentle wnc rain.
so many laws,
so many maws, clutching
moons as bald

she went missing in the bend;
she dragon hitched to snake
she lake

earnest mulch odor
fire on the mountain
high and high

overrated,
underrated,
like any man

drum of rain;
stop-
hum of vein
