green waves,
bronze stillness,
cheerful brooding cloud

pink house bicycles
sullen in the rain.
tomorrow missed the train.

kudzu monsters
surround rainy pavement;
dusty sky

woman picking up
cat in yard;
Tuesday morning love

a pity
a pittance
and privileged

morning runner passes
morning walker.
winter’s coming

away with words

guest star
in a cover poem
big sunglasses

the night left.
we made it
with lichen to spare

far geraldine
sings memory,
sings summer leaves

no me
for sure
sad joy

this song doesn’t remind me of her anymore

soft June air.
smoke smells ladled
through my window

phone call relived
over french fries
from passenger seat

cloudy day
before the rain
everything is okay
